This software is comprehensive, feature-rich, and uses multiple data sources, such as Microsoft Academic Search and Google Scholar. These additions help gather raw data. They will then analyze and present the data in a variety of metrics like Hirsch’s h-index, contemporary h-index, Egghe g-index, among others.

PoP is available as a free download, and once the download is finished, you’re able to search and get the results you need easily. These results can then be copied to your clipboard and then pasted to another sheet. Information can also be saved for future reference needs. PoP is a client for MSA and/or GS. When you search using PoP it sends a query to the academic pages of Google and or Microsoft to find your results. The app works with Google Scholar by default setting, but you’re able to subscribe to another feature so you’re able to access the Microsoft database.
